The project aims to create a two-poster advertising campaign for Buy Nothing Day, centered around the theme of staying indoors and playing board games, specifically Scrabble and Monopoly.
To create a two-poster advertising campaign about Buy Nothing Day. The concept for the poster was to stay inside and play board games, which I picked Scrabble and Monopoly.
My first challenge was to take photographs of each game, but in Scrabble's case, the words on the board took away from the tiles that would read “play not pay. ” instead, I went the vector route using Illustrator for both posters. In the long run, this made the most sense, using the photos as a starting point.
My second challenge was writing a tagline for the Monopoly concept, and in the end, went with “keep purchase on the board.”
